When you've been under house arrest for two weeks, have nothing in the pantry, and can't take your wife out for a boozy birthday lunch...the olive grove will have to do.

Can't think of anyone I'd rather be in lockdown with...though singing @officialrickastley at me has tested the relationship in unforseen ways.

Booze by @willowsvineyard, cheese by @jamesandcowines, smallgoods by @chilternrutherglenbutchery.

Three from three! The @mountmaryvineyard opened a

Three from three!

The @mountmaryvineyard opened a little lean and mean, though still mentos fresh at 11.5%. I gave it a hard stare and flickers of faded currant, cigarbox, rosemary and gossamer fine tannin make an appearance, and kept trucking to a beautifully complete wine.
The @wynnscoonawarra OV Shiraz is a sentimental favourite. Great out of the gate with dried cherry, anise and sweet earthy notes. Richer, rounder, with ropier tannins, slightly sweet/sour which is typical of the vineyard, and finishes with cocoa spice. Another win for off vintages ageing well.

Third or fourth time I've seen the @allsaintsestate 80 VP and it's just a profound wine. As good as any Australian VP I've seen. I'll fight to the death when I see it at auction.
